A wild wabi-sabi weekend in the Magical Sibillini Mountain Park:  May 30 to June 4, 2019,

'Keep close to Nature's heart... and break clear away, once in awhile, and climb a mountain or spend a week in the woods. Wash your spirit clean'

 John Muir

With Michael Eldridge and Natasha Lythgoe

'Thank you to all of you for a truly unforgettable week. I think it is true to say that we all emerged forever changed from our cocoons. What a wonderful journey it was.

I can not recommend the course run by Natasha Naga and Michael John Eldridge highly enough'

Wabi Sabi Weeekend- nowhere & everywhere

Broadly speaking, wabi-sabi is everything that today’s sleek, mass-produced, technology-saturated culture isn’t. It’s flea markets, not shopping malls; one single morning glory, not a dozen red roses. Wabi-sabi understands the tender, raw beauty of a grey December landscape and the aching elegance of an abandoned building or shed. It celebrates cracks and crevices and rot and all the other marks that time and weather and use leave behind.

To discover wabi-sabi is to appreciate an enigmatic Japanese world view which promises to whisper wisdoms to those who slow down long enough to investigate, and approach with an open heart.

Our Wild Photography Weekends, based at La Cittadella Centre are designed to excite you, awaken you, and to remind you that a camera is just a machine. That what it really is about is your mind; how you perceive yourself and the world of outside of you; Our Wabi-Sabi weekend is an inward and outward adventure, and based at the spectacular La Cittadella Centre in the Sibillini National Park

The Sibillini National Park is Italy's newest and apart from all the magical connections with the Ancient Goddess religions, it is also the home of wolves, bear, porcupine, deer, and a thriving host of other unique creatures such as black squirrels and primordial shrimps in Pilates Lake beneath Monte vettore. Suffice to say it's full of the most fascinating and unique fauna and flora.

And scenically it is almost overwhelming beautiful, and it is here we will spend long days, returning in the late evening to go through our images and and then relax over a splendid Italian dinner at the wonderful Cittadella

As the saying goes 'Everybody is a photographer nowadays'  Sure, we can go along with that to a certain extent, but what is it that makes an excellent photographer, or poet, or painter come to that? In the final analysis, it is passion and absorption and hard work. And up in the mountains here we lock you in to such a magical realm. And this experience will have a profound effect on your creative life from thenceforth. The journey doesn't end there.

We make no distinction between experienced photographers or beginners. We are here to share and learn from each other. All and any types of photographic image making devices are OK with us. Bring your laptops
